Whitsunday (Troitsa)

The most important church holiday in the Luhamaa area of Setomaa begins with a service the day after Whitsunday, 5 June. After that, the Setos meet graveside to talk with their ancestors, and local musicians and folk singers hold a kirmas, a village party.

We kindly ask visitors to attend in small groups to respect local customs.
