Lake Peipus Festival
The festival is a cultural front sweeping along the ports on the Peipsi shore from the northern end to the south, showcasing the lake in a manner that is more exciting than the usual. The ships bearing their cultural trove move on to a new port each day during the 10-day-long festival. Various workshops, nautical outings and concerts take place each day. Visitors are offered local culinary experiences and introduced to traditions and customs. From 1 to 7 July, a lodi barge, accompanied by a volunteer flotilla, will call at a different port each day from Vasknarva down the lake to Värska, then up the Võhandu River to Võõpsu.
