On this day, horticulture hobbyists can barter seedlings for transplanting – perhaps tomato for cucumber sets, or cabbage plant for a young beet plant. Gardening supplies can also find a new owner. Come and haggle and ask the museum’s hostess for tips on how flower and vegetable gardens used to be arranged in the Seto region.
