Feast of St. Paraskevi

The memorial day for the martyred St. Paraskevi is the highlight of the year for people in Saatse nulk and all the people in this parish come together. The day starts with a church service in the St. Paraskevi Church in Saatse, which is over 200 years old and houses the protected icon "Story of Parsakeva Pyatnitsa". After the service, the Setos meet to eat by the graves of their ancestors. The day also features a Saatse village festival – a traditional party with song and dance. We kindly ask visitors to attend in small groups to respect local customs.
