Metsa hiking trail

Metsa hiking trail runs from Riga to Tallinn, passing through the most forested areas of both countries and three national parks. More than 400 natural, historical, and cultural objects and monuments can be seen on the trail. The route passes through the historical territory of Livonia and Setomaa. The hiking trail is divided into 50 one-day sections, each section is about 20 km long. The sections have different levels of difficulty, so everyone can choose the most suitable one for themselves. The trail is passable in both directions: in Estonia, you can start either from the Estonian-Latvian border in Loogamäe or from the port of Tallinn. The trail is part of the international European long-distance track E11.
