Obinitsa Museum

Obinitsa Museum is dedicated to the unique culture and history of Setomaa and hosts various workshops and events. Most of the museum's collection, including the fine handicrafts of Seto women, comes from the surrounding villages.

The museum's most popular program is called "Putting on Seto clothes". The guide introduces the historical context of the clothing items while a member of your group dresses in traditional Seto clothing.

You can also order a handicraft workshop to make traditional Seto belts and ribbons.

Next to the museum is the tsässon, or local village prayer house.
