Laskevälja Bike Trail

The 43-kilometer Laskevälja bike trail runs through the forested hills, salt marshes, lake views, and sandy areas of the Mustoja hummock region. The trail introduces the area's military history: in the 1920s-1930s, the Estonian Defense Forces shooting range was located here.

The bike trail is a proper challenge even for a well-conditioned hiker: due to elevation differences and sandy roads, there are places where you need to push the bike alongside you. While the 17-kilometer section from Värska to Lõunalaager is quite flat, the return part of the trail is longer (26 km) and significantly more difficult. 

The starting point of the bike trail is RMK Värska campfire site, where there is a large trail map. In addition, we facilitate an organic transition between the hiking and biking trails to understand that moving on the trail is not just about sports, but also about discovering an exciting cultural history: in this area, nature and history met.
